  • Daniel is a founding partner of TARPAN Managers.
  • In his banking career, he was involved in projects and transactions concerning corporate finance, syndication and M&A, trade finance and structuring transactions, real estate financing, and the public and municipal sector. He took part in many major reorganisation projects as part of insolvency proceedings. As a senior manager, he was responsible for system and development projects within the bank and its group.
  • From 2014–2016, Daniel was a member of Česká spořitelna’s senior management, and he managed credit risks for corporate banking with responsibility for the standard and risk portfolio of corporate clients. His department coordinated extending credit, analysing corporate clients, assessing credit and legal risks, loan documentation, monitoring the bank’s corporate portfolio, revitalising and restructuring companies and recovering outstanding loans, including reorganisation and insolvency proceedings.
  • From 2009–2013, Daniel held management positions in Česká spořitelna’s restructuring and recovery department, where he was responsible for the retail portfolio as well as corporate banking. He was involved in managing a number of systemic measures aimed at the prevention, monitoring and evaluation of credit risks and their causes and consequences.
  • From 2003 onwards, Daniel worked for Česká spořitelna’s restructuring and recovery department on revitalising and rescuing companies in the SME segment as well as large corporations, and on real estate. He also defended the bank’s interests as its lawyer in a number of legal disputes and active and passive judicial proceedings. He was responsible for bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings (Kord Group, Sazka, Less Group, ECM, Motorpal, etc.) that were underway in the Czech Republic under the legislation then in force.
  • In 2000, he joined Česká spořitelna, a.s. upon its privatisation and takeover by Erste Group Bank. Daniel was part of the team responsible for integrating Česká spořitelna into the Erste Group, and he was involved in recovery processes following the takeover, including implementing the privatisation agreements concluded with the Czech Consolidation Agency.
  • After completing his studies at Charles University’s Law Faculty, Daniel joined Živnostenská banka’s legal department, where he worked as a lawyer, and later he worked on credit risk management, where he was involved with the business sector, real estate financing and corporate finance.
  • Before his studies he worked in Česká spořitelna, a.s. on foreign transactions and foreign exchange payments.
  • Daniel studied for an MBA at DePaul University (Chicago)–Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in collaboration with CMC Graduate School of Business (Čelákovice; 2007–2009).
  • Daniel graduated from the Charles University Faculty of Law (1993–1998).
